Bella Misty Fishing Charters is committed to providing the best all-around fishing charter experience in Ketchikan.

We have been offering full service guided fishing charters since 2002. Our focus is on giving our fishing clients the most comfortable and enjoyable fishing experience available. It was that thought process that led us to our boat West Cape. Because of it’s size, construction, layout, and amenities, I feel it is a boat perfectly suited to the waters of Southeast Alaska.  Experience is not necessary and we love to help teach new anglers and first-timers alike, no matter their age. We offer snacks and drinks on our four hour charters and a light lunch on our all day trips at no additional charge. We fish for four of the five wild Pacific Salmon species according to their runs: King Salmon, Coho or Silver Salmon, Pink Salmon and Chum Salmon.  We bottom fish for Halibut, Lingcod, Pacific Cod, and Yelloweye Rockfish (locally called Red Snapper).  These are only a few of the many species available in SE Alaska’s waters. Some days we also get into many of the 40 species of Rockfishes of Alaska.

Full Day Ketchikan Fishing Charters– 10 hours are exclusively for clients staying locally in Ketchikan.  This is the ultimate Alaskan fishing experience.  It gives us the ability to fish areas that receive very little if any fishing pressure.  Travel time on this fishing charter is 1-3 hours each way.  According to the season, we will be targeting either King Salmon or Silver Salmon (Coho) and have chances to land Pinks and Chums as well.  Bottom fishing is truly amazing on these longer range trips.  It is not uncommon to catch your Salmon, many species of Pelagic and Non-Pelagic Rockfish, Trophy Lingcod, Giant Yelloweye Rockfish, and your Halibut while making a single drift over structure.  Depending on season, skill level, and current conditions, we may mooch or troll for salmon.  Mooching is definitely my favorite way of fishing on these trips, but trolling is many times the most effective.  When Halibut and bottom fishing, we will use drift fishing and jigging techniques as well as anchoring over deep structure.  Dungeness crabbing is available to add on to this fishing trip.  It is a lot of fun and they are great to eat, especially if you are staying at place where you can cook them up in the evening.  Just plan on it taking about 2 hours of the trip.  After the fishing charter, fish processing services are available and we will fill out processing forms on the way back into town. This is a good opportunity to take group pictures with your catch.  We keep the boat and fridge well stocked with drinks and snacks for your refreshment and have a lunch available on this trip.
